We use the DASS-21 scale to assess psychological factors important to your speed of aging. This scale is widely used and has been validated in peer-reviewed studies across diverse age groups and cultural contexts. By capturing stress, anxiety, and depression levels, DASS-21 data feed into our aging algorithm that predicts pace of aging in combination with biomarker data, our model is trained on large cohorts combining DASS-21 responses with biological measures common to blood test panels as well as other factors like telomere length.

Research shows that higher DASS-21 stress and depression scores correlate with accelerated telomere shortening, and epigenetic age acceleration. Our algorithm produces a personalized speed-of-aging index presented in clear charts. Users can track this index over time to see how changes in psychological state influence their biological aging trajectory.
